A Lot To Catch Up On....

Let's see....where do I start? Yes, it has been quite a long time since I blogged. I'm sorry for the delay but I have been busy working at the day care.

Let me start this blog off by talking about our FIRST wedding anniversary. I can't believe how fast the first year went, but it has been amazing!!!

This is what was left of our wedding cake. The cake was good, but the icing was extremely sweet....if you eat too much, your tummy would hurt! Not bad for being in the freezer for one year!

Me with the cake before we started eating some. The purple dots disappeared over the year in the freezer.

Us with our cake on the night of our first wedding anniversary!

We went to an Astros game for our first anniversary. It was against the Atlanta Braves and we sat in the Crawford Boxes. The Astros did not win, but it was fun to go to a game with my husband!

This is us sitting in the Crawford Boxes. Awesome seats!!! Thanks to my wonderful husband for the amazing seats and anniversary.

Two weeks after our anniversary, Michael got to spend the weekend in College Station with Kevin and the boys, while I got to spend the weekend with Amelia in Tomball, where we went to a concert at Toyota Center to see New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, Jordin Sparks, and Ashlyne Huff. Talk about an amazing concert to see, but I definitely don't like live music due to ears ringing for days after!

This is Amelia and I with Ashlyne Huff.

Look at our shirts. Aaaaahhhhh, it was awesome and we had great seats. Thanks to Kevin!!!

Waiting to get inside to see the concert!!!

NKOTBSB, NKOTBSB, NKOTBSB!!!

Good news guys.....I now have a summer job. I will be working at a christian day care center in Tomball. I will be with the infants! Uh oh here goes the baby fever again :D

Interviews Update

Well, I had the interview for the St. Anne's Catholic School job a week ago. I feel like it went extremely well but will have to wait a couple of weeks to find out the outcome. It is a 5th grade math/science/religion teacher. To me, it sounds very exciting and challenging as well (which I love).

I also had an interview today at Step By Step Christian School for a summer daycare position. I will again have to wait to find out the outcome, but only a few days....not weeks.

Wish me luck....I hope to get both of them!!!

Interviews.....

Well guys.....I finally have two interviews (one for a summer job and one for a TEACHING JOB AT ST. ANNES CATHOLIC SCHOOL). They are both on Tuesday after work so wish me luck that I knock both of them dead :D

This has been so exciting to find out that someone wants to interview me for a teaching job and I would be so ecstatic if I got this job.

Also, Michael got a promotion at work. I think things are finally turning around and God has his own plan for us. I feel like he is telling me that this is the place for me to teach.

I can't wait until I find out how the interviews go. Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers!

Busy Times....But Fun Times!!!

Well, the past few weekends, we have been going NONSTOP....let me tell you, it's pretty tiring! Last weekend, we went to Galveston with the McGlones and had a long weekend with both boys and our great friends Amelia and Kevin. The weekend before that, our oldest nephew, Mr. Grant, turned three....yes, thats right....THREE!!!

Below is all about our Galveston trip....Hope you enjoy....there are some FUN pictures here....

Right here is the beginning of our mud fight. LOL... we were down by the water while the boys were up at the beach. Kevin sees us throwing mud on each other and says "Dude, you know our wives are throwing mud on each other, right?" Next thing we know, we see Kevin running with the camera and here comes Mike right behind him.
Here it is getting pretty messy and at the end. If you look at Elliott, he is laughing because he thinks it is funny! I was trying to stuff mud in her pants because she put a HUGE handful in mine!
She ran into the water trying to escape the mud in the pants, so I run after her and of course Mr. Elliott is following us in....haha....

Isn't Mr. Elliott precious? Gosh he's gotten to be a big boy and has come a long way from where he started his life as a premature baby! He is still so sweet but can have his moody moments. Even though thats the case, we still love him so much!
Look how big Mr. Declan has gotten. I can't believe he is a year old. Let me tell you, this baby has changed from a baby that cries all the time to a baby that laughs, plays, smiles, and is fun to be around. We love him so much as well!

Look at the McGlone brothers together. OMG....now that Declan is getting older, he is looking more and more like his older brother! They were so fun to be around all weekend long.

There's a picture of me and my wonderful, sweet husband going for a dip in the ocean. OMG that water was freezing but was fun once you got in! I love Mike so much and am so proud to be his wife. This will be a fun picture to look back on in twenty to thirty years to see ourselves as NEWBIES still in the married life! I can't believe its almost been a YEAR!!!!

Mr. Elliott was getting a pail of water to put in his moat around his sand castle. He was so darn precious and enjoyed every minute of the beach.

Me and baby Declan... I love him and enjoyed every minute of the beach experience with him. The second I put him down, he was crawling around and digging in the sand. So much fun to watch!

Uh-oh. Someone has brother's sunglasses. Shouldn't those be on Elliott's face? LOL. Oh well he was definitely entertained!

Our New Car!!!

Well, last night we went and bought a new car. Our truck was having a few major problems that we didn't want to chance having to fix so we traded it in. It was EXTREMELY hard letting it go, but it was a decision that had to be made. We traded it in for a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox. It is twilight blue metallic on the outside and jet back/beige interior.

On the way home, Mike and I realized that we are growing up now because we bought a SUV and got rid of the sporty truck that we both loved so much. Mike made the comment that with this decision it is definitely for our future family.

Enjoy a few pictures below of the new car that I love as well as goodbye pictures of the truck that is definitely missed!

This is the last picture that I took of our truck. I wish we were two years later because then we could have kept it and gotten the new car. But this decision is the best and we enjoyed that truck for a wonderful 3-4 years.

This picture is of the new car on Sunday when we walked around dealerships searching for the right one. Michael made a comment when we found it and were just standing there staring at it that this could be the car that our children come home from the hospital in and you know what....IT WILL BE THE CAR THAT THEY COME HOME IN because we now have it as our new SUV!!! :D

This is the final picture of this experience. We said hello to the Equinox and goodbye to the Colorado at this moment. Its very sad to not have the truck that we drove to Boaz, Alabama for.

We love both of these vehicles but can only afford one....It was time to say goodbye and move on to something more family friendly. We know it will go to someone good and they will enjoy it as much as we do!

This is like our memory blog for the pretty blue 2007 Chevrolet Colorado Extreme as well as the day that we bought our family car!

A Beautiful Saturday!

Well this morning we went to the grocery store and brought the stuff home. Elliott drove the race car buggy around the store and enjoyed himself so much. We came home and got ready for the day. We were heading to Spring to see my parents and hang out for the day.

We got there and started playing outside in their backyard. Next thing we know, its time for lunch. We had yummy black bean tamales and pork tamales. Elliott ate 3 tamales and some chips. Needless to say, he was definitely full from all the food he ate. We ate lunch and dinner with my parents and had a lot of playtime with them at their house. It was such a beautiful day to be outside all day. For dinner, my mom cooked barbecued pulled chicken for some soft tacos. Elliott didn't want that and started crying, so we made him a peanut butter and honey sandwich....which he devoured in no time.

Here is a picture from when we got home Saturday evening and were just hanging around the apartment.

This is the big boy with his bucket of dirt that he collected and dug out of the ground in my parents front yard.

This is Michael and Elliott hanging out in Spring and Elliott is showing off his plant that he found in the yard. I love these two guys oh so much!

Me and my special boy hanging out. I absolutely love this picture!

This was a pretty funny situation in today's activities. Elliott would find acorns and want to plant them. He would plant them in the ground and then cover them up. He would turn around for 3 seconds and then look and there was a tree growing out of it. In reality, Michael was finding leaves that were on the ground from the trees and would stick them where he planted the acorns. It was so cute because he got excited about the trees growing!

If you look to the left on him in the picture, there is one of his magical acorn trees. Doesn't he look so proud of his gardening skills?

This is a video of Elliott playing with a box from something that we had just bought. It was too cute because Elliott was playing peek-a-boo with the box. Hope you enjoy the video as well as all of the wonderful pictures.

It was such a great day and we enjoyed hanging out with all of the wonderful people in our lives....meaning my parents and Elliott as well as each other!
